BOLLYWOOD CAN SMOKE NOW

7:34 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments

Here is good news for those who are a hardcore fan of Indian cinema and does not like any deviation in the story. They want the goons, the villains to smoke on the screen which make a strong impact of their character. The on screen smoking was banned by the government in 2006 but Delhi High Court has remove this banned citing the reason that it limits an artist’s creativity.

Critics may say this is a wrong step and some are in its favour. I say this is a right decision. There is no problem showing smoking on screen. It does not make sense if a mafia and underworld don does not smoke. Cigars are their trademark and they should be allowed to do so. It makes their personality influential.

People say on screen smoking promotes this habit in small kids. They are encouraged to do so when they see their favourite stars smoking. If they can copy their acts and heroics, why don’t this? Kids want to be like them. For this, I would say that movies with smoking scenes should be given an A certificate. But an adult certificate will stop minors from watching the movie only in theatres. What if they watch at home? Who will stop them there? And what is the probability they won’t be allowed to enter theatres to watch the movie? No Indian theatre has someone outside to check whether the audience is a minor or an adult.

Well, right or wrong, I welcome this step of the Delhi High Court. This is really a bold decision which could change the way of Indian cinema. Smoking is wrong but on screen smoking should be allowed to shoot. Banning this really stops movie makers to show what they really want to and put a limitation on their creativity up to some extent. I hope directors won’t misuse this decision and make movies wisely which will be an entertainer for all and not for a particular audience or segment.

USE FORUMS: BOOST YOUR BLOG TRAFFIC

7:54 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels: ,

I have waited for three weeks to write a post on this topic. The reason is I wanted to make sure that this really works. I had heard that this technique is very effective and put into use on just one forum with a high PR. And I really found a good increase in my number of visitors. My hit counter ran faster than what I expected it to run.

Forums are the best way to get traffic for a new blogger. For a blog to survive and make its mark, all it need is traffic, targeted traffic. Visitors come to your blog regularly; only then your blog can be a success. Choose a forum of your blog niche, register there and participate regularly. I had a bit idea of blogging, so I straight away went with this technique are results have been positive. I have got 85 visitors in 20 days which is not bad going by the standards I set for myself.

I registered in many forums but mainly I was active at TALKGOLD. This is a good forum for money talks and discussion about various HYIPs and money making programs, GPTs etc. It also has a good PR and Alexa Rank. I am an old member of this forum and active since last few days. I used my blog address in my signature with a small tagline. It appears every time I post a reply and my signature is displayed to everyone out there. I think 3 out of every 10 who see my signature will come to my blog. And its a good conversion rate.

Few things you should never forget-
1. Try to post at least 5 topics per day. This should be your minimum target.
2. Never keep the font of your signature too big. It should be big enough to catch attention. For best results, use font size 2 with a centre align.
3. Do not register in too many forums together. You won’t be able to participate in all of them together. Go slow but steadily. Keep track of your time and register after making a rough estimate of how much time you have for this activity. On an average, 20 minutes for every forum is enough.
4. Remember, CONTENT IS KING. Nobody will visit your blog regularly if you won’t write high quality posts. Your posts should be YOURS. Do not cut and paste other’s thoughts in your blog.

Try this technique once, be active on the forum you choose and there is no reason you won’t succeed. High quality traffic will come to your blog.

INDIAN MISSION BEGINS

8:16 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments

Indian cricket team began its tour of Sri Lanka which consists of 5 ODIs today. This tour is much talked about and winning the series by 5-0 will take India to no. 2 in world rankings. Indian team is on a high after their triumph in the home series against Australia and England and they have not lost the momentum. They proved this by a convincing win in the first one-day international.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the first one day played here in Dambulla by six wickets. Old horse Sanath Jayasuriya reached his 28th ODI century and proved his critics wrong that he is ageing. But his century went in vain as Indians reached the target in 49th over.

However, there were some hiccups in the Indian innings initially but solid and timely knocks by Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina and M S Dhoni didn’t allowed Lankan bowlers to settle down. Mystery bowler Ajantha Mendis went second time wicketless in his ODI career. Ishant Sharma was the best bowler among Indians with 3 wickets.

The second match of the series will be played on Saturday at Colombo. This will be a day night match. I pray for one more Indian win.

Indian team has what it takes to be number one. All they need is consistency and under flamboyant and ever dependable M S Dhoni, they are striving hard. Coach Gary Kirsten is providing the right guidance and is very effectively utilising the highly talented Indian cricketers.

LOVE YOUR JOB

9:34 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments

You must have heard this line( I do not know who said this)
“Love your job and you won’t have to work for a day”.

I totally agree with this. Some people say all they want is money and they are ready to work anywhere at any time (may be this is the reason why call centres are prospering in India). I too used to think the same. But scenario has changed and so too I.

Now I can understand what people meant when they used to say terms like job satisfaction and self satisfaction. Money is not everything. If you love your job, you will find happiness in that. If you love your job, you will never find your job boring. You never have to kill time in your office. You will enjoy every minute in your office and the day will never look to be endless.

Your job is your god, somebody told me this and since the day I have started my job, I rewind this line in my mind. This helps a lot as it energises me which keep me motivated and give my best to my organisation. I owe much to my organisation and if I will not be happy, I could never be honest towards my job.

And the best part of loving your job is YOU GET PAID FOR WHAT YOU LOVE TO DO. Yes, its true. Is there anything better than this? You are getting handsome salary for what you love to do. And even if you do not get paid enough, it’s much better to earn 10000 bucks and return home at &pm than earning 30000 and returning at 11pm. Believe me guys, life is nothing if you can’t spend enough time with your family. No amount of money can buy you happiness that you get with your loved ones. You spend quality time with your family, that's much more important.

So, go and choose job that you love instead of the job that force you to stay away from someone WORTHLESS..See ya

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

10:43 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels: ,

Happy Republic Day India. Today, we celebrated our 59th Republic Day. It was a proud moment for the whole of country. Amid security threats and high security, we celebrated a very important day of India’s history. Republic Day means much more to Indians than just a parade. This was the day in the Indian history one could never forget. We became republic this day in 1950. On 26th Jan, 1950, we adopted our constitution.

Our freedom fighters and leaders pledged for a peaceful India where every Indian could live and breathe freely. But since Independence, it has not been that easy to achieve. India had always been engaged with some problem-sometimes it’s a war or a natural calamity. I request Indians to always remember the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the terror attacks in Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi. These are the unfortunate happenings that keep India alive in our hearts. They force us to think that we owe something to India which we cannot pay in a day or through a check. Nor we need to commit our life towards this. We just need to curb CRIME and CORRUPTION and rest will take care of itself.

RAISE VOICES my friend. You may be alone in a beginning but soon you will many hands up with you and pairs of eyes for whom you are a leader. Everyone is pissed of the current situation. They are ready to roar against the system. All they are looking for someone like you who will lead their fight, our fight, India’s fight to get a India our freedom fighters dreamt of, a India we wish for and a India we want for our coming generations.

JAI HIND.

INDIA AND CRICKET

2:22 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels:

This is my question to those who follow cricket regularly and is a fan of this great sport. Have you ever thought why Sachin Tendulkar is called God of cricket? Yes, he is a great player but there had been many before him who was the icons of the game but nobody was called by this name. Why only him? Legends like Sir Don Bradman, Gary Sobers, Zaheer Abbas, Barry Richards and the present breed players boast of Ricky Ponting, Matthew Hayden, Mohd. Yousouf, Sanath Jayasuriya who has many awards to their name but never called GOD. I ask, WHY?

The reason is we Indians consider cricket as our religion. Every child in India dreams to play for national team (of course, exceptions are always there). But the way India follows cricket, no other country do. You go anywhere in India, from metros to villages, from highways to lanes, you will find a high voltage match going on with many other sitting and cheering the players. You can see small children in shorts running and diving for their team on mud covered ground in a match which has no relevance for others apart from those who are a part of it. For players, umpires and spectators, that match is their food, water, air, EVERYTHING.

The huge success of IPL has already proved how much Indians love cricket. We cheered not only for Indian players but foreign players too. Whenever India is in a match, you can see markets and roads deserted. Shopkeepers are glued to their television sets and instead of bargaining with the customers, they share joy and sadness as India’s balance tilts in the match. Student often bunk their tuitions to watch the match. A very common sight in India-children in their school uniforms playing cricket. We bunk our school to play cricket fully aware of the fact that we will be playing in the evening.

Whenever India wins, whether against Australia or Kenya, we cheer with the same enthusiasm. Pundits perform religious ceremonies to pray for India’s win. We follow various superstitions so that India wins. This does not mean we doubt our team’s capabilities. Indian team is hugely talented. No other team in world cricket has three players in the playing eleven with 10,000 ODI runs to their name. India loves cricket and every child wants to wear India colours one day.

It’s high time Indian government should start thinking about giving cricket the status of the national game. Indian team has been performing to their best and is consistently beating the top teams of the world. And no other game in India has such a huge fan following as cricket.

Indian team will be very busy this year and are very close to being numero uno in the world rankings. I wish them good luck.

SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE WINS OSCAR NOMINATION

8:43 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels:
What could be the better time for Indian cinema? Golden Globe winner Slumdog Millionaire has been given 10 nominations in nine categories. Set on the backdrop of our own Mumbai, this already termed hit movie by Danny Boyle is making waves all over the world and is now a bookmaker’s favourite for Oscars.

The most exciting news for Indians is that music composer A R Rahman has been nominated for best original score for the movie. He had already won Golden Globe in the same category for this movie and many believe he will win the Oscars too. Rahman has really made India proud of his work.

Although directed by a British, the movie is much about India and hats-off to Danny Boyle, who chose India for such a wonderful project which has brought Mumbai and India on the world map when it comes to movies and entertainment.

Coming to Bollywood, Chandni Chowk to China did not do that well as expected. The only reason is because the movie had nothing when it comes to script. The plot is completely missing. Akshay Kumar as always has acted marvellously. He made me laugh but it was in patches. Deepika Padukone looked good.

Another movie is releasing today with the serial kisser Emraan Haashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Addhyan Suman in the lead role. Raaz- The Mystery Continues is been promoted as a horror movie. Let’s see how this one performs at the box office.

Slumdog released in India today and I will be watching it for sure. You also go and watch this wonderful, touching movie.

You are most welcome to comment on this blog.
Bye friends.

TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS

8:47 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments

How many times have you encountered the situation when you need to make the decision very fast and you feel you have lots of options? Every option is the best and you just cannot decide to go with which one. And this is where you need to hear to your inner-self, your instincts and I guarantee you, you will always be right.

Instincts or gut-feeling, as we call them, never let us down. They are the voices of our inner self. They do not come to us every day. But when we hear them, I personally feel we should never ignore them. These voices are heard only when we are in the most typical situations and our decision could lead us to glory or dungeons. If you hear them and follow, you will win otherwise it could be a tricky time for you.

Why I believe them is because if they were the ordinary voices, why they do not come to us on each and every occasion. Why do we say it instinct? Those voices are audible to us because someone (not difficult to guess who is he) wants us to win and excel. He wants us to become the man of the moment and to steal the show. He wants people recognise you and love you for what you are and what you did. He wants you to set example for others.

So when this instinct or so called gut feeling does come into play? When you are on the football field and you need to decide in a flash of moment whether to go for goal or to pass the ball. When you are in the examination hall and confused between two options A and B and you want to go with B, that is your instinct. There are many circumstances you come across once in a while which awaken your instincts, they try to say something to you and if you hear them, you are on the top of the world.

Trust your instincts and they will never let you down. It’s my belief and I can assure you if you go with them, you will win.

Friends, please do comment on my posts and my blog. I want your suggestions to improve this blog and myself.

See you later.

SANIA OUT OF AUSTRALIAN OPEN

8:19 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels:
As always, she again failed to stand up to India’s expectation. After repeating to media again and again that she is fully fit and is ready for the big grand slam, she did only a bit to make her country cheer. Indian tennis star Sania Mirza bows out of Australian Open in the second round. She was beaten by Russia’s Nadia Petrova in straight sets.

That is the problem with Indian sportspersons. After they make a mark at the world scenario, they are given so much hype, importance and money (through endorsements) that they just do not feel like giving their best to the game. They have a IT’S ENOUGH feeling which affects their game a lot. And once this feeling start creeping inside you, you can never give your best. It will always affect your performance. A sportsman always needs to be hungry for success. Once he feels he is satisfied, he can’t be a champion.

Indian cricket team is also gearing up for a high-voltage series against Sri Lanka in their home ground. Lankan tigers are roaring high to make up for the previous series defeat against the same rivals last July. Indian team is also high on confidence after their great run last year where they won series against Australia and England. It will be really exciting to watch the two neighbours and powerhouse of world and Asian cricket.

And here’s news worth having a look. Ukraine’s Andriy Shevchenko has said Kaka has done the right thing by rejecting his world record offer from Manchester City. What he said meant that EPL is not the right place to nurture talent. It is also said that he gave advice to Kaka over the deal.

This was the news from the sports world...meet you later..

ARE WE NEIGHBOURS?

8:55 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels: ,

Why the Indian politics do starts and comes to an end with Pakistan? Why does this happen when we talk about the authorities of India, we end up talking about the increasing differences between these two neighbours? Are we still neighbours wanting to help each other or are we just waiting for an opportunity to cut each other’s throat?

India and Pakistan are the most tensed neighbouring countries in the world. Pakistan, which can be considered a child of India (My opinion is that separation should not have been done) is constantly creating problems for India. From the very day, we are fighting and fighting over those issues which are not important than the citizens of both the country. I shiver when I imagine where I would have been if I was in Kashmir or anywhere in Pakistan. The situation is really pathetic and need to be solved as soon as possible.

Why is Pakistan so interested in Kashmir? Or it’s just an excuse for those terrorists creating havoc in India. If they wanted Kashmir this much, why did not decide on this matter when the separation was done. What I feel is that Pakistan does not Kashmir. They just want India to be indulged with them so that we cannot prosper in other areas.

Pakistan has always been jealous of India because we have been superior of them in every field. Pakistanis consider us their biggest rivals in every sport, every area. They play against us as if the will be crowned the champions. For them, winning against India is winning the World Cup.

I request Indian government to settle the issue of Pakistan as early as they can. I do not have any hard feelings of their citizens. What I do not understand is the policy of the Pakistani authorities. They need to clear their goals to the global community so that the people of both countries can live in peace. Together, we can be a world power but Pakistan need to understand this.

Please do drop your views. I want to share with you people.

Bye guys...

BOOM TIME FOR INDIAN CINEMA

8:26 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments

This is the best Indian cinema could have seen. There are lot of good things happening at the same time and Bollywood is relishing it. Last few weeks have given it really big hits which have made up the loss of the whole year and some good movies are yet to come which are eagerly awaited by the audience.

From the mid December we saw Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Ghajni rocking the box office, and today the first big release of the year Chandni Chowk To China starring Akshay Kumar and Deepika Padukone has been done which is sure of getting the moolah out of the people’s pocket. Bollywood is getting bigger and fatter by these releases. CC2C is already been termed as the first big hit of the year and Akshay Kumar will get one more hit to his credit. Deepika will too get her third hit in a row in span of three years. Watch it guys.

Also, taking India to world, Slumdog Millionaire is hitting the headlines everywhere. This movie by Danny Boyle has already made waves at the Golden Globe Awards and is been pitched to win the Oscars later this year. With Anil Kapoor and Irrfan Khan from India, this movie is completely shot in India and shows us the real India.

Also, A R Rahman winning a Golden Globe has got huge applause for the man and India. This talented musician has really made India proud and proved to the world that Indian has more talent than the world thinks.

Indian cinema is heading for a bright next few months and I hope it continues like this..

You must be familiar with the free hit counters. If you are not, let me explain you. These are the small and attractive widgets which you place in your blog or website. These counters are provided for free by various websites and keep a track of how many visits have been made to your blog. You can wish to increment this counter every time a page is visited even if it is in succession or for every unique visitor.

Now, let me tell you the importance of these free hit counters. They do not benefit your blog in any way, neither in monetary terms nor in terms of number of visits. Instead, they benefit you. It may sound strange but it is true. And I can say this as I have experienced it myself.

I put a free hit counter in my blog and let it run. And then I visited my blog after 24 hours and I saw that the counting of my counter has gone up from 25 to 30. It may sound like peanuts for an experienced blogger but for me, someone who has just started the blog; this is a very good increase. So, these counters encourage me to continue my good work. It shows that my work is been appreciated and people are visiting my blog because they have started to expect some good posts from me. This fact really helps and energises me to post regularly.

Even if that counter is not increasing because I am not getting visitors, I am encouraged. I am encouraged to prove myself to the world and tell them I am not just like some other blogger in the blogosphere. I am someone whom they wanted to read for a long time.

So, I would recommend everybody to get a free hit counter today. There are numerous sites offering this offering these counters of various designs which will definitely suit you and your blog’s taste. Get it and get to know how it feels when you see your blog is been visited many times since you last visited it.

ONE STAR SHONE, THE OTHER FADED

7:35 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels:
They are one of the big guns of their respective sports. Both are known for their dedication, professionalism and of course, their game. But Wednesday was a mixed bag for the world when it comes to these two hugely talented, widely acclaimed sportsmen. I am talking about Matthew Hayden and Christiano Ronaldo.

Matthew Hayden does not require any introduction. The hard-hitting opener of Australia who has always proved to be a bone in the neck for the Indian bowlers has some the most amazing records to his name. He was a regular opener for Australia and formed opening partnerships with Justin Langer in Tests and with Adam Gilchrist in ODIs. He also has the record of most runs in an innings both in Tests (380) and ODIs (181) for Australia. Hayden used to love Indian bowling and has played some of the best innings of his career against India.

But since from last two series, away series against India and home series against South Africa, he was not even near to his form. This made the Australian selectors to drop him from the upcoming series against South Africa and forced him to think about his retirement. Although he was planning to make himself available for the Ashes later this year, he decided to call it a day.

The game of cricket will miss Matthew Hayden and his style of sport dearly and finding his replacement will not be an easy task for the Australian selectors. Bye Bye HAYDEN....
The other star I am talking about is Christiano Ronaldo. This hugely gifted footballer from Portugal has been awarded the FIFA Player of the Year Award. He received this award from the legendary Brazilian Pele.

Ronaldo came first in a poll of 155 players. Argentinean midfielder Messi was second and Kaka and Torres were beaten by quite a distance.

The Manchester United winger attributed his success to his family, friends and colleagues. He also made a special mention about his current manager and Manchester United’s old boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

These two stars are legends in their respective sports. But on Tuesday, one shone more brightly and other faded. But that does not mean he has lost. This world will remember him for a long, long time.

INDIA: THE LAND OF DREAMS

In my previous post, Happy New Year 2009, I talked about dreams. You may think that I am a big dreamer and good in writing lines rather than convert into actions. I was kind of this until 18.
I was in first year of college. There I met a boy (can’t tell his name, I apologise). One night, during dinner, he asked me my aim. To be frank, I was confused. I didn’t know where I was going, what was my destiny. I knew nothing about me. But instead of being true to him, I said that I just want to be a good son, husband and father. I just want to be like others and as I am not different from others. You and I are same. When he heard this, he stared at me for a moment and then what he replied took me aback. He said- “Tushar, if you are comparing yourself with others, you are insulting yourself.” I was really amazed at what he said (Later I came to know these lines were said by Hitler). I started reading inspirational books and biographies of great personalities.

And this changed me. Today, I am a changed man. I have a dream, a mission for which I am living. I just do not want to get lost in the crowd. I want to be different and someone whom this world remembers for a long time.

India is a country where you get every opportunity to realize your dreams. Here, each and every person has a dream, big or small, but they have it. Something for which they live and achieving it give them the happiness beyond anything else. And realizing those dreams is a tough task for those who give up early. Here people pose every challenge they can in your way and only those can survive who are tough and gutsy enough.

I believe everyone born here is blessed with a gift which is just for him and make him strong enough to survive in this land.

I am proud to be an INDIAN.

SHAME ON PAKISTAN

8:40 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels:

I have planned something. When my blog will become popular, I will perform a survey on how many people in this world thinks that Pakistan is still a democratic country and not being run by terrorists.

Seriously guys, Pakistan is crossing all the limits. It still thinks that India is pressurizing them without lack of evidence. Pakistan’s PM Gilani says India is committing a mistake by building world pressure on them. And after getting all the evidences that prove Pakistani nationals were involved in the Mumbai attacks, 26/11, they are not ready to hand over the suspects to India and will try them in their courts according to their law. We all know what would be the outcome. After a month of trial, they all will be released.

Please come forward. I request Indians all over the world to come forward and raise voice against Pakistan. I am not against Pakistan but I am opposing the goons running the country. They know everything but still do not want to take the steps to curb terrorism.

One thing is crystal clear. Pakistan is preparing for war. They are getting their troops to Indian border and what is noticeable is that Taliban have announced they will support Pakistan in the war. This statement is enough to clear the current situation. Taliban and Pakistan government are together. Pakistan have even planted bombs and tried to show it an Indian conspiracy.

So, that’s all for today. I have lot to say about Pakistan but this will only lengthen the post. Please comment on my posts. I want to share more and more with you all.

Bye fellas.......

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2009

2:10 PM by Tushar Agarwal · Comments
Labels: ,

Welcome to The Great India Blog friends. This is the first official post of this blog and I just can’t hide my delight today.

Firstly, to be honest, some may think that I didn’t have any topic to talk about and that’s why I am wishing you a happy new year. But I seriously want to wish everybody a Happy 2009. Last year was a fabulous year for me and I sincerely pray to God that he continues this one in the same spirit.

First things first, 10 days of this year have passed by. Your resolutions might have start taking shape and some may be saying- “I will start from tomorrow for sure”. No blushing. It happens with everyone. But I would just like to say that start with it as soon as possible. It really feels nice and is very encouraging when you see you are approaching your dreams. Take a step; even if it is small, it is better than taking no step.

I have too many dreams and I want to achieve them all. I do not want to adjust myself with life and compromise one for other. But it’s not possible in a day’s work. You have to be realistic and you should be courageous enough to accept the failures that will come your way. Yes, failures will come. You can’t escape them. It will find you if you try to run away. So it’s much better to face them and learn from your mistakes than running away from them.

I am not discouraging anyone of you. I know these are not the right words for my first post and may create a negative image of mine in you. But I have suffered all this and want to tell you all that they help more than they hurt. All you need is a right attitude towards the failure. You see them a lesson, as an opportunity for future and you won’t be far away from success.

2009 has arrived and in this ever changing world, we have every resource to realize our dream. So why sit back and for something miraculous to happen. Start right now and day would not be far when you will be proud of yourself.

One more thing, please feel free to comment on anyone of my post. I would love to hear from you. Good or bad, those lines of yours will encourage me to provide you better service.

Best of luck guys. See you tomorrow.
