I stopped updating this blog in March 2009 because of lack of time. My final semester examinations were on and hence I left writing here. But now I am back and will be writing here regularly.

When I left this blog, there were many things on the charts. And these things happen and outcome has been not that bad, not so good. I will try to recollect what happen in last 7 months in India. If I miss something, do make a note below and remind me.

1. Indian Premier League 2- well, this does not exactly happen in India but Indian have a big part in it. IPL2 was played in South Africa because Indian government told Mr. Lalit Modi that they cannot guarantee security in the matches due to general elections. But seems like Modi is a tough man (read stubborn), and he arranged to have this tournament in SA. Everyone was looking forward to this mega event but strangely, this was not a hit. The reason may be held outside India, low scoring matches or people had enough of T20 but one thing is for sure, Modi have to give a hard thought before IPL3.

2. General Elections 2009- Elections 2009 was held in five phases and as anticipated and wished by me, Indian National Congress emerged as a clear winner. It might be not very strange to western countries but only Indian know what it takes to win the majority seats in India in succession. I wish INC and its workers a long and successful rule in India.

3. Bollywood Resumed- Indian cinema had to shut down in mid February because of a tussle between the producers and multiplexes over revenue share and finally, it came to an end in June releasing bulk of multi starrer and big budget movies. As a result, some ‘may be hit’ movies have to suffer and they managed average collections. But for die hard Indian cinema fans, there are lots of new flicks around the corner.

4. Death of YSR- the death of Andhra Pradesh CM Y S Reddy was a huge setback to Indian politics. He was the man of words and tough decisions. He had already brought lots and lots of changes to the state and his death has given a huge setback to those who were hoping for a revival under him. May his soul bless in peace.

Other stuff has happened in between and it is very difficult to cover it in one post. I will be updating this regularly. Keep dropping your comments.

WE INDIANS ARE EVERYWHERE

Do you know people from which country are everywhere in the world? I mean everywhere. From the busiest of cities to the most deserted areas, whom can you meet? The answer is quite easy. An INDIAN.

Indians are someone whom you can meet anywhere. From the dense forests of Amazon to the vast Thar Desert, from the streets of Sydney to the pubs of London, there is every probability you will meet an Indian. This does not mean that the nationals of other countries are confined to their country only. But we are just a bit more global.

I tell you a very common example of this you must have observed many times. In all of the major cities and capitals in the world, you will find an Indian colony. You will always see huge amount of Indian support wherever they go to compete in a championship. India never feels they are playing outside their home. When Indians appeal, every Indian supporter appeal which makes the atmosphere electric and tremendous to watch.

Indian stars are always given a warm welcome by their Indian fans whenever they perform outside India. The cheers for them are just fantastic and that makes the star much easier and comfortable to perform.

So, whenever you go anywhere in this beautiful world and feel lost, do not worry at all. You will find an Indian nearby waiting for you. You will never be alone in this world. An Indian is there just around the next corner with a warm smile on his face and saying- “WELCOME FRIEND”.

HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY

Happy Republic Day India. Today, we celebrated our 59th Republic Day. It was a proud moment for the whole of country. Amid security threats and high security, we celebrated a very important day of India’s history. Republic Day means much more to Indians than just a parade. This was the day in the Indian history one could never forget. We became republic this day in 1950. On 26th Jan, 1950, we adopted our constitution.

Our freedom fighters and leaders pledged for a peaceful India where every Indian could live and breathe freely. But since Independence, it has not been that easy to achieve. India had always been engaged with some problem-sometimes it’s a war or a natural calamity. I request Indians to always remember the assassination of Indira Gandhi and the terror attacks in Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Delhi. These are the unfortunate happenings that keep India alive in our hearts. They force us to think that we owe something to India which we cannot pay in a day or through a check. Nor we need to commit our life towards this. We just need to curb CRIME and CORRUPTION and rest will take care of itself.

RAISE VOICES my friend. You may be alone in a beginning but soon you will many hands up with you and pairs of eyes for whom you are a leader. Everyone is pissed of the current situation. They are ready to roar against the system. All they are looking for someone like you who will lead their fight, our fight, India’s fight to get a India our freedom fighters dreamt of, a India we wish for and a India we want for our coming generations.

JAI HIND.
